The Opportunity:

You will be a part of a dynamic team providing continuing acquisition support, Information Technology integration and vital thought-leader support to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The FDIC ensures financial safety for depositors across America. You will help them address acquisition and policy issues along with the implementation of a new contract writing system.



Responsibilities

You will provide support to Acquisition Services Branch’s (ASB) Policy and Systems (P&S) section to assist in its role as Product Owner for its future acquisition system (Acquisition System-Next Generation (AS-NG)) and as technical Subject-Matter-Expertise (SME) / end user of its current acquisition system (Acquisition Procurement System (APS)) and current contract filing system (CE-File).

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting, reviewing/analyzing, and evaluating acquisition data and acquisition business problems, trends, and emerging needs impacting ASB’s policies and procedures and provide recommendations as needed/appropriate
  • Gathering analytical requirements by working with subject matter experts and others familiar with the process
  • Developing data frameworks for data analysis to support end-user data discovery
  • Design and development of data models that optimize analytical reporting performance
  • Maintaining knowledge of Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools
  • Developing data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading processes between transactional and analytical systems. Builds reports, dashboards, and OLAP databases to support end-user reporting and information requirements
  • Statistical analyses on data and predictive forecasting. Analyzes and interprets results using statistical techniques
  • Interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.




Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in data-related studies, Information Technology, business
  • Five (5) years working as a Data Analyst
  • Experience managing new systems implementation and development
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Ability to obtain/pass a Public Trust background investigation




Desired:

  • Two (2) years of experience working with Power BI supporting a Federal Government Customer
  • Experience supporting a Federal Government acquisition or contracting organization
  • Familiarity with creating detailed process maps that visually represent workflows and processes within an organization.
  • Hands-on experience with tools designed to automate repetitive tasks and processes, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software or workflow automation platforms.
  • Proficiency in working with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to integrate different software systems and facilitate data exchange between them.
  • Agile/SCRUM or other process improvement Methodologies (?)
  • Programming experience (Python, R, SQL)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
