About Master Data Specialist:

At Distalmotion, Transformation is an incremental approach to changing the way our organization operates to achieve significant improvements in efficiency. It involves the streamlining and integration of business processes (BP), Master Data, and enterprise IT applications– including, but not limited to, ERP, CRM, PLM, ALM and EQMS. The goal is to drive operational efficiency, elevate customer satisfaction and foster value creation.

As part of a growing business, you will drive Master Data, which is crucial for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all systems and processes. This will establish Master Data as a single source of truth, enabling efficient operations, informed decision-making, and compliance with regulations.

This role will touch numerous IT applications such as our ERP (QAD), CRM (Salesforce), PLM, ALM andEQMS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing Master Data clean-up, reorganization, data entry and changes within QAD ERP and other business systems.
  • Assuming responsibility for accuracy and synchronization of all Product, Supplier, Customer Master data in business systems.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of Master Data governance processes over time, ensuring compliance and work standardization across the organization.
  • Training business partners on best practices.

This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for Digital Transformation, and requires close collaboration across the organization. Strong decision-making skills, conflict resolution and collaboration skills are essential for this role.

  • Perform the clean-up and reorganization of Master Data and its architecture, focusing initially on budgeting and controlling, with improvements across all data domains.
  • Ensure timely and accurate Master Data entry, changes, and migrations.
  • Perform regular audits to identify discrepancies and develop best practices for correcting inconsistencies in Master Data.
  • Manage and maintain Master Data within the ERP and other business systems (PLM, CRM, …), ensuring integration and synchronization across all relevant systems.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to support business operations and inform decision-making.
  • Assist to the development and implementation of Master Data governance processes and work.

Work Experience and Education requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within a similar role, with a demonstrated understanding of the business impact of Master Data changes across the value chain.
  • Experience in configuring manufacturing products, BOM’s etc.
  • Experience in training others on Master Data best practices.
  • Experience of working on continuous improvement projects as part of a team (e.g., Lean / Six Sigma)
  • Previous experience working in a regulated environment is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:

  • In-depth knowledge of top ERP systems (e.g., QAD, SAP, Dynamics) and other business systems (e.g. Salesforce CRM) and their interdependencies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Formal certification in maintaining/administering ERP systems, such as SAP Certified Associated is preferred.
  • Have excellent administration skills and be detailed-oriented.
  • Be a strong administrator with high attention to detail and consistency.
  • Be a specialist in their field with a high technical competency in working with ERP/CRM datasets.
  • Have strong personal character to maintain standards against organization pressures.
  • Feel confident to proactively raise issues and risks on Master Data related topics.
  • Be able to collaborate with business functions, understand their needs, and provide tailored support.
  • Love working with new teams and processes.
