What you'll do
As the People Analytics & Reporting Manager at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Reporting & Analytics vision and annual plan, enabling better business decisions and actions through the use of data-driven insights. Your responsibilities will include scoping new analytics and reporting requirements, automating processes, designing scalable solutions, and delivering customer-centric products and services. Collaborating closely with people professionals, you will co-design and co-create solutions that elevate data literacy and practise across the People Division. Using modern analytics technologies and visualisation tools, you will present outputs and insights in dashboards, reports, presentations, visuals, and digital products, helping to drive decision-making and action. In addition, you will lead and develop a team of analysts, fostering a culture of reporting analytics innovation and continuous growth. Your strong knowledge of analytical methodologies, HR systems, data pipelines, and programming languages will contribute to your success in this role, as you leverage data to make a meaningful impact on the organisation.

 

Who you are
As an Analytics & Reporting Manager for Sainsbury's HR division, you are a skilled and innovative professional with a strong knowledge of quantitative analytical methodologies and associated technologies. With a passion for using data to drive decision-making, you have a background in mathematics, statistics, research, or computing, enabling you to retrieve data and build reports in HR systems and analyse complex datasets. Your ability to build compelling narratives and present insights through visually appealing dashboards, reports, and digital products showcases your expertise in communicating data-driven solutions to influence business actions. Leading a team of analysts, you inspire continuous development and encourage innovation in reporting and analytics, contributing to the overall success and impact of our people analytics function allowing them to achieve their full potential.

 

What you need to know and show

  • Strong knowledge of quantitative analytical methodologies and associated technologies, and how to apply them to business problems
  • Experience retrieving data and building reports in HR systems such as Oracle OTBI
  • Knowledge of data pipelines, data lakes, and related products e.g. Snowflake, Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence
  • Track record of innovation in reporting and analytics  
  • Ability to build, present, and communicate compelling narratives, visuals, and digital products to drive decision-making and action
  • Experience programming in SQL; knowledge of Python, Power Automate, MicroStrategy
  • Background in mathematics, statistics, research or computing
