We are seeking a highly skilled Centre of Excellence AI Specialist to lead the implementation and standardization of business analysis practices across the business in Johannesburg (Hybrid).

Role overview:

The role involves enhancing and managing company-wide business analysis procedures, promoting best practices, and ensuring the continuous improvement of business analysis performance. This includes managing tools, resources, and professional communities to drive excellence.

Additionally, the Centre of Excellence AI Specialist plays a key role in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of business analysts. By implementing AI-driven automation, providing data insights, and supporting decision-making, the AI Specialist enables business analysts to focus on strategic tasks. The AI Specialist also collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive AI initiatives that improve performance and support the bank's mission of promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

AI Integration:

• Identify and integrate AI solutions to augment the capabilities of business analysts, improving their efficiency and effectiveness.

Automation:

• Develop and implement AI-driven automation for routine tasks, allowing business analysts to focus on more strategic and analytical functions.

Data Analytics & Insights:

• Leverage AI technologies to derive actionable insights from data, supporting informed decision-making processes within the bank.

Collaboration:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize areas where AI can significantly enhance performance.

Best Practices:

• Promote AI best practices across the business analysis community to ensure high standards and consistency.

Training & Development:

• Provide training and resources on AI tools and methodologies to equip business analysts with advanced skills and technologies.

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor and assess the impact of AI initiatives on business analysis performance, iterating to drive ongoing improvements.

Innovation:

• Stay current on AI trends and technologies to ensure the bank remains at the forefront of innovation in business analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 3+ years of solid experience in AI, machine learning, and data science.

Experience

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or R.
• Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira for Cloud, and ARIS.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, AI frameworks, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for text classification, sentiment analysis, and language modeling.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure for deploying AI models.

Technical/Professional Knowledge:

• Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and develop innovative AI solutions.
• Experience: Prior experience in AI development, data analysis, and business analysis, preferably in the financial sector.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within agile teams and across various business areas.
• Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated on AI trends and advancements to ensure continuous improvement.
