JOB PURPOSE

 

We are seeking a Data Science Specialist to join our corporate Data & Analytics Team. The ideal candidate will work within our HQ WW Team based in Milan, leading the development and management of data science and AI projects that address real-world business challenges across all company departments.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Design and implement data science solutions for sales forecasting and stock management, collaborating with key stakeholders to build predictive models and analytics tools.
  • Lead the development and industrialization of forecasting projects, working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, data-driven solutions.
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and insights, providing actionable recommendations to optimize processes and drive business results.
  • Build and deploy highly efficient and scalable ETL and data manipulation processes using big data and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Databricks).
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to support continuous improvement and scalability.
  • Monitor the performance of models over time, proactively identifying opportunities for adjustments or improvements to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on how to use data science models and interpret their outputs for strategic decision-making.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 

Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science) or equivalent experience.

2+ years of industry experience in forecasting modeling, data science, and analytics.

Advanced proficiency in Python and PySpark; knowledge of SQL is a plus.

Proven experience in developing and implementing forecasting models.

Experience with Databricks, Azure, and IDEs is preferred.

Fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken.
