Description:

As a Data Management subject matter expert with Synergy, you will join the team supporting the mission of the Officer of the Chief Information Officer for a Federal government agency.  Under the direction of the Synergy Project Manager and Program Technical Lead, the candidate will work with the customer’s Data Services team to execute projects related to their management of data using various database tools and cloud services.

Essential Functions & Duties:

• Manage, modernize, and automate (where possible) data pipelines using AWS Cloud Services
• Design and develop efficient ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into meaningful insights
• Implement data integration best practices to bring together disparate data sources, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and integrity
• Assist to design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualization to provide actionable insights
• Manage the pipelines across multiple environments (Development, Test, Stage, Production)

Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:

• Possesses AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification
• Experience with AWS services to include Glue (Python, Spark), Athena, DMS, Step Function, DataBrew, EventBridge, SNS, S3
• Experience with database services to include SQL Server, MySQL, and Snowflake
• Experience with reporting and dashboarding using Tableau, Snowsight, and/or PowerBI
• Experience with data modelling, including creation of stored procedures and views
• Experience performing ETL/ELT data processing
• Experience with Python scripting
• Experience with SQL development
• Experience with DevOps processes to automate deployment using Ansible and/or GitLab
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills for handling production support activities
• Ability to clearly communicate/present technical issues and status to customers
• Ability to create project documentation (e.g., SOP) and status reports (e.g., weekly progress)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint
• Experience working in an agile environment, coordinating across multiple teams
• Ability to execute in a remote work environment
• Experience with Federal government customers

Citizenship or Work Authorization Required: US Citizen + ability to pass public trust background investigation

Preferred Education & Experience: 10 years of experience with 6 years of technical experience, or 4 years’ experience in IT Solutions at senior management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Information Management (IM), Information Technology, Engineering).

Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00.
