Mercury® Financial is headquartered in the progressive and entrepreneurial tech hub of Austin, Texas. Our physical location is situated in a beautiful park like setting called the Domain. Mercury® Financials' Wilmington, Delaware office is located near the Riverfront. Role:

The Data Office is seeking an entry-level Quantitative Analytics Analyst with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for numbers. In this role, you will use advanced tools like Excel, Python, SQL, and SAS to analyze and manipulate data sets, turning complex insights into actionable strategies. Additionally, you'll support our company’s push towards AI, leveraging in-house tools such as ChatGPT and DataRobot to help business units achieve their goals more efficiently. What a day is like:

  • Data Analytics - use SQL, Python, and SAS to create, manipulate and analyze data sets
  • Excel Automation - create advanced models, formulas, and reports for various business units
  • Strategy - identify profit opportunities across multiple business units 
  • Tableau Visualization - turning complex insights into clear, actionable charts and dashboards
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation - constantly seek ways to improve our data practices and business outcomes

 

You’re perfect for this role if you: 

  Required

  • BS in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study
  • A curious mind with a hunger for problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following (Excel, SAS, SQL, Python)
  • Tableau experience a plus
  • Eagerness to learn and experiment with ChatGPT, DataRobot and other AI tools
