Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Chatbot Developer who can also effectively manage tasks and maintain a big-picture view of our projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in chatbot development, combined with the ability to coordinate team efforts, manage project timelines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. This role will be responsible for developing high-quality, maintainable chatbot solutions while also overseeing the project lifecycle and ensuring successful delivery across various business use cases.

Key Responsibilities

Development (Primary Focus)

- Design and develop high-quality, maintainable chatbot solutions

- Enhance and maintain the backend infrastructure supporting chatbot applications

- Develop integration layers and APIs to support integration with 3rd party services

- Implement conversational flows, including understanding user intent, handling branching, interruptions, and error scenarios

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers

Project Management and Coordination

- Assist in defining, planning, and executing the product roadmap

- Manage project timelines and resources for chatbot development initiatives

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables

- Facilitate communication between technical team members, stakeholders, and end-users

- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies

- Provide regular status updates and reports on project progress

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on chatbot or conversational AI development

- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with bot frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Bot Framework, Rasa, Dialogflow)

- Experience in developing APIs and integrating with third-party services

- Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD

- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including planning, prioritization, and execution

- Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AI, machine learning, or advanced NLP techniques

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

- Understanding of UX principles for conversational interfaces
