Risk Analyst, APAC (6-months contract)

Millennium’s Global Risk Management Department is responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring, managing, and reporting on the risks associated with Millennium portfolios. Our Risk Management organization is designed to accommodate the overall size, nature, and complexity of the firm’s trading activities.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join the Enterprise Risk team in the Firm’s Singapore office (6-month contract role). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering comprehensive risk and performance reports for regional offices, legal entities, management companies on the regular basis. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to work with various internal stakeholders and handle their requests.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reports and data analysis. Critical for success is the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to manage changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality reporting with effective visualization of key risks and exposures

  • Identify data quality issues and liaise with appropriate stakeholders for resolution

  • Maintain reporting template and review data sources including the maintenance of data queries and other aspects of reporting and data infrastructure

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Postgraduate with major in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, or other business-related focus

  • 3-5 years’ relevant work experience

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong quantitative background

  • Deep knowledge and demonstrated experiences in Python, R, SQL, Excel, and VBA– large data manipulation via programing analysis (statistical and others)

  • Ability to work independently and complete set tasks within set deadlines

  • Attention to detail and quick learner

  • Has initiative, good team player

  • Experience with data science and visualization tools such as Tableau
