Job Title: Data Scientist / Sr. Research Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Research, consulting and development of AI based solutions that can be applied to various business and research needs.
• Industry experience of having ideated, experimented and implemented the solution for the clients worldwide
• Research first of a kind industry problem with AI solutions
• Write research reports, publish scientific papers and file patents.
• Collaborate with business divisions and other overseas research laboratories in Hitachi.
• Interact with potential customers of Hitachi Businesses and act as key person for technology development.

Experience: 5-7 years or more with a proven track record for contributing to data science projects.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree with substantial industry experience of 5-7 years or more with a proven track record for contributing to data science projects
• Experience across Advanced analytics, Mathematical optimization, Simulation and any other branch of AI
• Excellent programming skills, Hands on Python is must
• Hands-on experience in Statistical data analysis and Machine learning.
• Excellent communication, logical thinking and presentation skills.

Additional qualifications (preferred but not mandatory):

• Masters/ Ph.D. degree or equivalent.
• Publications (paper or letter) accepted to academic journals.
• Published patents.
• Experience applying Deep learning.
• Knowledge of Computer Vision, NLP tools, LLM is preferred
