Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last 9-12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

Nonclinical drug safety (NDS) helps advance high quality drug candidates into development by defining the non–clinical safety and selectivity of lead compounds. NDS employees evaluate Lead Op candidates and preclinical toxicity of drug development candidates, provide mechanistic understanding of drug-induced toxicity, and assess implications for human safety.  

 

The successful Computational toxicology intern candidate will:

  • Work closely with imaging AI scientists, pathologist, computational biologists to develop advanced AI algorithms to predict toxicity phenotypes, biomarkers leveraging digitized whole slide images and other data modalities including omics, off-target pharmacology.

  • Play a pivotal role in the development and refinement of predictive models using advanced deep neural network algorithms.

  • Collaborate with domain experts to interpret results and propose actionable insights.

  • Effectively communicate findings through presentations and reports.

Locations: West Point PA

Education:

  • Candidates should currently be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Computer Science, Informatics, Data science, Biology, Chemistry, Toxicology, or related discipline.

Preferred:

  • G.P.A of 3.0 or higher

  • Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program specializing in chemoinformatics, computational chemistry, machine learning, data science, or related field.

  • Interest in applying computational methods to toxicological assessments

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail


Required:

  • Must be available for a period of 9-12 weeks, beginning June 2025.

  • High proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.

  • Familiarity with principals of chemoinformatics

  • Working knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$39,600.00-$105,500.00
