Research Associate (Computer Science/Engineering)

The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop agent-based models to analyse contact patterns and devise a generic interface between the agent-based models and other forms of simulation models/data for risk assessment of infectious respiratory diseases transmissions of various built environments.​

• Work closely with the project team to perform research tasks related to the development of agent-based models.

• Collaborate with fellow researchers to design agent-based models and perform agent-based simulations.

• Analyze the numerical data generated by agent-based simulations and perform risk assessment of infectious respiratory diseases transmissions for various built environments.

• Participate in and contribute to pertinent meetings as well as preparing research reports and academic papers with the project team members

Job Requirements: 

• Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant discipline

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JAVA, and C/C++

• Strongly motivated and responsible to perform research activities

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and with a large team

• Research experience in agent-based modelling and simulation is preferable
