Your role:

Monitoring cloud usage and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities
Developing and implementing strategies to optimize cloud costs
Collaborating with development teams, product teams, finance, and IT operations to drive cost optimization initiatives
Analyzing cloud usage patterns and trends to identify areas for optimization
Recommending changes to cloud service usage, pricing models, and purchasing options
Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast and track cloud costs
Working with cloud service providers to negotiate pricing and contracts
Creating reports and dashboards to track and communicate cloud cost optimization efforts to stakeholders 



You're the right fit if: (4 x bullets max)

Strong understanding of Amazon AWS products and services such as EC2, FSX, S3, EKS, RDS, serverless in a large multi-account organization.
Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent
AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification preferred. Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer cert a plus!
5+ years of demonstrated experience working within an agile team in a cloud-native environment.
Cloud computing expertise: A strong understanding of cloud computing services, including cloud infrastructure, software, and platform as a service (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS), as well as experience working with major cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Financial management skills: Knowledge of financial management principles and experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This includes experience in financial modelling and cost analysis.
Data analysis skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning. Experience with SQL, Python, R, and other data analysis tools is also important.
Experience with FinOps practices: Experience implementing and maintaining FinOps practices and methodologies is important, including knowledge of cost optimization frameworks such as AWS Well-Architected Framework, and experience using FinOps tools and platforms.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
