As a Data Architect, you will support the Data Modernization workstream within the Banking Operations team. You will possess understanding of data architecture, data management best practices, and automation in data processes. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and quality.

Job responsibilities

  • Map the operations data landscape to identify common data points and sources. Implement tactical solutions to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct infrastructure maturity assessments and collaborate with business-led Data/MIS teams. Implement best practices for data management, including data pull, data store, and system integration.
  • Identify and resolve data gaps and issues in collaboration with data owners. Act as an escalation point for critical data quality issues.
  • Assess infrastructure maturity for data distribution on mesh architecture.
  • Serve as the point of contact for data tools such as Dex, ThoughtSpot, and Denodo.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline data processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment with the Target “Data” Operating Model for Banking Operations.
  • Maintain a close partnership with the Product Data Owner and other key stakeholders.
  • Align with firm-wide best practices as laid out by the Chief Data Office (CDO), Technology, Risk & Controls. Provide SME services to business-led MIS teams and partner with Process Modernization and Analytics groups for data requests.

 

Required qualification, skills and capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Snowflake), data management, and data quality best practices.
  • Proficiency in data integration tools and platforms.
  • Experience with data exploration tools (e.g., Dex), self-serve analytics tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot), and data mesh platforms.
  • Experience in developing and implementing automation solutions in data processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act as an escalation point for critical issues.
