Quality Data Analyst

In this role, Analyst will collect data, such as quality control/assurance metrics, warranty or market research, to help the company make the right decisions. After gathering all relevant information, this role will extract insights from the vast amount of collected data through statistical and analytical techniques that detect patterns and trends. Data Analysts also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and help them develop tools for collecting, organizing and analyzing information.

Skilled at designing and maintaining databases and data systems, Data analysts ensure informational accuracy and integrity, generate reports and visualizations for stakeholders and help leadership with strategic planning based on the insights gleaned from their work.


Responsibilities

  • Consulting with executives and other business leaders to identify improvement opportunities
  • Creating reports for internal teams, external clients and/or stakeholders
  • Collaborating with team members to collect and analyze data
  • Visualizing data with graphs, infographics and other methods
  • Establishing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
  • Structuring large data sets to find usable information
  • Processing information with a team of analysts and other associates
  • Crafting presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, statistics or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing. 
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
  • Data visualization.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL, Python, etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

This position primarily operates within an office or manufacturing environment, which may be loud, dusty, hot, or cold. Additional physical requirements include frequent talking, hearing, and seeing. Frequent use of hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects. Pushing and pulling on work objects with hands. Working with hot and cold surfaces. Safely working with job related sharp objects. Regular standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Regular stooping, kneeling, crouching, occasional climbing, typically on a stepladder or stairs. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and walkie-talkies. Regularly required to use PPE.
