Product Manager

 

Overview

 

Founded in September 2020, Asia Digital Engineering (ADE) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capital A Berhad based in KLIA2, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ADE leverages the AirAsia Group Engineering Department’s best practices and unsurpassed combined experience in the region. ADE offers a range of aircraft services focused on the Airbus A320, A321 & A330 for line maintenance services, component and warehouse services, and engineering support services.

 

Product Managers at ADE are responsible for executing product strategies through discovery and delivery work in alignment with product operating model best practices, to strive to achieve a strong product-market fit. The role also drives the success of digital innovation initiatives to enhance internal processes and efficiencies across departments.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap aligned with the overall product vision and company objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and end-users to deeply understand the problems our products aim to solve.

  • Spearhead the product discovery process, conducting user research, identifying pain points, and uncovering market opportunities.

  • Actively engage in co-creation activities, working directly with users to conceptualize and refine innovative product ideas.

  • Collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional product trio (alongside product designers and software engineers) to ensure seamless alignment throughout the product discovery phase.

  • Partner with product designers and software engineers to translate concepts into detailed product features and prototypes.

  • Oversee the entire product delivery process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition from development to launch.

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights to inform data-driven product decisions.

  • Leverage data-driven insights to prioritize features and enhancements that drive customer satisfaction and deliver business value.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, and other teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.

  • Proactively communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, fostering alignment and buy-in.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact.

  • Regularly report on product performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive product innovation.

  • Encourage experimentation and the adoption of new tools and techniques to continuously enhance product development processes.

  • Swiftly address any product issues or bugs, collaborating closely with the engineering team to implement effective solutions.

  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure product success.

  • Ensure products meet all necessary security, regulatory, and data protection requirements.

  • Actively engage with customers through various channels to gather feedback and build strong relationships.

  • Leverage customer insights to refine product features and enhance the overall user experience.

  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation within the organization and lead the implementation of innovative solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and pain points, and develop digital tools and platforms to address them effectively.

  • Monitor the impact of digital innovation projects, making data-driven adjustments to strategies to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of overall experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Product Management or related roles.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and adapts quickly to shifting priorities.

  • Demonstrates decisiveness and sound judgment, even with limited information, to effectively prioritize tasks and projects.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

  • Highly organized, analytical problem-solver with a creative and visionary mindset.

  • Experience in E-Commerce or SaaS platforms is preferred.

  • Solid understanding of APIs, Microservices, Data Science, UI/UX, and programming languages like JavaScript and Python.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.

  • Prior experience in Aircraft Engineering, MRO industry, or Airline technology systems is advantageous.
