This role is based in Workforce Optimization (WFO) AoP within our Integrated Workforce Strategies (IWS) Chapter in People & Culture. The team is elevating the way the business leaders shape Roche’s workforce. The team unlocks the strategic potential of our total workforce with a framework for external workforce  and data-driven, skill-based workforce solutions.

The Opportunity:

As an integral part of the Workforce Optimization team, you will be responsible for  our Total Workforce & Skills Insights (products), as well as evolving our technology landscape to maximize their potential to support our delivery:

  • you design & provide insights in the area of external and total workforce as well as skills  for workforce analysis or informed decision making 

  • you actively contribute to all WFO products to ensure they are data-driven, skills-based and cutting-edge, how to increase data quality & impact, and how to scale those products towards enterprise insights and increased customer experience

  • you closely partner with colleagues in WFO  to ensure a good understanding of business requirements & needs, you translate them into a technology vision as well as user stories, and ultimately define data and technology requirements

  • you partner closely with our partners responsible for technology, IT and people insights to stay ahead of technology trends in the market, proactively plan how to serve and budget for technology needs and are responsible for designing/evolving the  technology vision for workforce optimization

  • you prioritize engaged, easy and effective product design, which integrates to other frameworks & products across Roche, maximizes value and is enabled by technology

  • you build an external network of practitioners to learn from & connect products to external best practices

  • you are actively contributing with ideas, feedback and sensing to the further evolution of current WFO products and/or to  future products , you  support the advisory of the business  (e.g. delivering business projects)and you contribute to education and adoption of WFO insights and technologies 

Who you are:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, workforce management, or a similar field, with experience in matrixed, global, and strategic settings within People & Culture and/or the business.

  • You are an expert in (strategic) workforce planning, people strategies, , transformation, and/or change management. you excel at translating data into actionable solutions and addressing complex problems with your strong consulting skills and analytical and critical thinking. You are experienced in data science and programming languages like R or Python.

  • You translate business requirements into technology use cases and design a technology vision. You understand possibilities and limitations of technology, and effectively communicate with partners. You are capable of making informed decisions regarding product / technology features.

  • You can effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams, engage stakeholders with a customer-centric mindset, and facilitate effective team collaboration. You are proficient in agile methodologies, and you bring a OneRoche mindset to visualize an integrated future product vision.

  • You adapt to different needs, navigate ambiguity in complex environments, and react strategically to changing priorities. You maintain a positive customer experience, balance trade-offs between product features, quality, and timeliness, and are known for your motivation, collaborative working style, and growth mindset. Additionally, you are proficient in English and can work across global time zones.
