Whether it’s Snowflake, Java, Spring suite, JavaScript, AngularJS, Unix, or Database skillset required for the project initiatives, we are there for each other collaborating and helping each other to achieve the common goal. We are embarking on an incredible multi-year Data Transformation journey, and we are looking for best-of-breed software engineers to join us on this journey.

In this role of Principal Data Integration Engineer, you will be responsible to build ITP Data Strategy and next generation Data Solutions. This role is expected to work with in ITP Data Platform Squad to build the Big Data Solution in Snowflake, Achieve Real-Time Data Extraction, Transformation and Presentation. The Solution will be built with latest and greatest cloud tools and industry standards. There is also significant opportunity for advancement and growth in this role based on your performance and contribution towards the organization goals.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• In this role you will be responsible to build ITP Data Strategy and next generation Data Solutions. 
• Strong database background in Oracle and/or Snowflake; any experience in AWS Postgres is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating system and shell scripting.
• Must be a self-starter with a strong ability to prioritize, own and drive projects, and quickly learn new concepts and frameworks.
• Maintain constructive relationships within and outside the team.
• Ensure on-time delivery of work including monitoring of external and internal dependencies, tracking of progress, and monitoring of project milestone accomplishments.
• Oversee the technical quality of the projects by ensuring that key technical procedures, standards, quality control mechanisms, and tools are properly utilized including performing root cause analyses for technical problems and engaging in work product quality review.
• Is familiar with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
• Standards – Be aware of technology standards and understands technical solutions need to be consistent with them
• Documentation – develops and maintains system documentation
• Actively participate in the Change Control process by identifying potential scope variances by monitoring work requirements definition, issue resolution, development progress and user sign-off and reviewing change requests.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience

 Talents Needed for Success:

• 15+ years of Development experience in design, development, and implementation of software systems.
• Experienced in data warehouse modeling design and development. 
• Experienced in designing and building complex ETL pipelines preferably with Spark toolset.
• Hands on development experience: Oracle / Snowflake, Spark Streaming is a must.
• 15+ years of hands-on Development experience in Big Data solutions.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting.
• Experience with Agile engineering practices.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

 Good to have:

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures.
