About the role

As a Data Engineer at Officeworks, you will play a key role in designing, building, and implementing a data ecosystem using AWS and Snowflake to support our analytics roadmap. Collaborating with teams across the business, you’ll enable data-driven decision-making by curating, managing, and deploying data assets. Your work will contribute to our growth and operational efficiency through robust data pipelines and solutions. This role is based out of our Chadstone Support Office in Victoria 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Ecosystem Design: Design and develop analytical data assets and processes to support the analytics roadmap.
• Data Pipelines: Build and maintain data pipelines ensuring data integrity and smooth deployment.
• Collaboration: Work with Data & Analytics teams to productise models and implement solutions.
• Governance: Ensure data management follows best practices and is compliant with security and governance standards.
• Automation: Maintain a continuous deployment pipeline and automated testing processes.

About you

You’re a results-oriented professional with a collaborative mindset. You’re technically skilled in AWS, Snowflake, and data engineering, and thrive in cross-functional environments. You have experience working in both traditional and agile delivery methods and are passionate about data-driven innovation.

Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing
• Strong Experience with AWS, Snowflake, DBT, and python
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Spark
• Strong ETL and data modeling skills
• Knowledge of machine learning, data mining, or natural language processing

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or IT
