About the role

We’re seeking a dynamic Technical Lead to join our Customer and Online Division. You will provide specialist expertise in Cloud or SAP BW technologies to drive the design and delivery of data solutions across our business. Working closely with the Data Products Manager and collaborating with teams across the organization, you'll play a critical role in shaping Officeworks into a more data-driven organization. This role is based out of our Chadstone Support Office in Victoria 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of data solutions, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Provide expert guidance to development teams, uplifting engineering and DevOps practices.
  • Develop technical architectures and manage the transition of projects to Business-as-Usual (BAU).
  • Drive data platform strategy to align with Officeworks’ broader technology and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and disaster recovery standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for seamless product releases and project success.

About you

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years in Data and Analytics, with 5+ years’ experience in AWS and Snowflake.
  • Proven technical leadership experience in projects, initiatives, and enhancements.
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake, AWS, python, and DBT with experience in data engineering and data warehousing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to senior stakeholders.
  • A tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and an interest in emerging technologies like ML and AI (preferred).
