The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading full-stack development of technical data analytics projects that provide new, data-based insights to Solventum.
  • Creating a robust data layer for development of machine learning algorithms and application of advanced analytics tools and techniques.
  • Solving, complex, novel data challenges with your technical skill, business knowledge, and creativity.
  • Collaborating closely with business leaders, functional subject matter experts, and senior engineers, analysts, and data scientists across the globe.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 7+ years’ experience developing end-to-end data analytics solutions (back end & front end)  

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED from AND 11+ years’ experience developing end-to-end data analytics solutions (back end & front end) 

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in T-SQL and relational databases
  • Experience in SQL queries, views, cluster data, performance improvement, reports
  • Experience coding in Python, C/C++, and/or other programming/scripting languages.
  • Experience building data pipelines using Power BI or similar data visualization tools, including working with Power Query, Power Apps, and Dataflows

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Experience with Apache Spark
  • Experience with Azure Cloud services
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Experience with SAP Business Objects
  • Proficiency in R
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Julia, Scala, and/or other programming languages
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum project management framework
  • Interest in continued learning of businesses processes, business data and new tools/architectures
  • Knowledge of Healthcare business concepts
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be detail oriented, self-directed, have strong independent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Knowledge and experience with data analytics theories and practices

Work location:  

  • Remote

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international travel

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
