Business Intelligence Developer (Power BI, Tableau or Qlik) 1-year Contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday (09:00 AM - 06:00 PM AEST) 

What are we looking for? 

Skills Required:  

• Proven experience (3+ years) in a BI role focused on dashboard development. 

• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. 

• Experience with SQL and data modelling. 

Nice to Have: 

• Certification in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). 
• Experience with advanced data visualization techniques and tools. 
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation.

What will you do? 

The Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end dashboards that provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves collecting data from various sources, transforming it into meaningful information, and creating user-friendly visualizations. The BI Dashboard Developer will collaborate with various departments to ensure their reporting needs are met and that the dashboards are intuitive and effective. 

Dashboard Design and Development: 

• Design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. 

• Ensure dashboards provide clear, actionable insights and are tailored to the needs of different stakeholder

Data Collection and Integration: 

• Collect and integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external sources. 
• Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data is accurate, clean, and ready for analysis. 

Data Transformation and Modelling: 

• Perform data transformation and modelling to create the necessary data structures for dashboard development. 
• Ensure data is organized in a way that supports efficient querying and analysis. 

Data Quality Assurance: 

• Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in dashboards. 
• Identify and resolve data quality issues in a timely manner. 

Collaboration and Requirement Gathering: 

• Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and other departments to gather requirements and understand their dashboard needs. 
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for dashboard development. 

Performance Optimization: 

• Optimize dashboards for performance to ensure they load quickly and provide real-time insights where needed. 
• Continuously improve dashboard design and functionality based on user feedback and evolving business needs. 

User Training and Support: 

• Provide training and support to business users on how to interact with and interpret dashboards. 
• Develop documentation and user guides to assist stakeholders in effectively using the dashboards.
