About the Opportuntinity

 

This is  a 12 Month Contract Opportunity

 

The Master Data Analyst is a key member of the Corporate Procurement Data team. This position is responsible for reporting and analytics support to for several stakeholders within operations and corporate departments (Indigenous Relations, Diversity, Sustainability, etc.) The Master Data Analyst is an integral part of the data governance structure for procurement master data and will ensure high data quality, consistency, and scalability across the organization. 

 

What You'll Do

BI Reporting and Analytics

  • Gather requirements, design, and build/create Business Intelligence Reports and Dashboards for different internal stakeholders (Procurement leaders, Sustainability dept, etc). 
  • Maintenance of existing dashboards and reports: Indigenous vendors spend dashboard, procurement dashboard in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), diversity spend report, open Purchase Order (PO) report, general spend report and other corporate reports in Business Objects (BO).
  • Quarterly reporting of diverse spend for two customers on their web platform.
  • Different Business Objects (BO) reports for year-end activities.
  • Different Business Objects (BO) reports for audit requirements. 

Vendor Master

  • Ensure VM data is in compliance with data governance policy at point of creation and through regular and quarterly monitoring and cleansing of existing VM master data
  • Analyze and review weekly exception reports
  • Resolve master data integrity issues and work with stakeholders to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions

 

What You Bring to the Team

  • An undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with Business Objects (BO) and Power BI is an asset.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • General knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) an asset.
  • General knowledge of scripting, Visual Basic and SharePoint Designer experience an asset. 
  • Good communications skills (both written and verbal).
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills. 
  • High attention to details is key.
  • Data collection and manipulation experience.
  • Demonstrated high goal achievement orientation. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Able to perform in a rigorous and fast paced environment. 
  • Able to consistently take a disciplined track in achieving a goal using disciplined thought.
