Job Description

About the Position:

Juniper networks is a leading provider of network security products. This position provides a great opportunity to work in an innovative and excellent software development team and develop the cutting-edge networking security technologies.

Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer Staff, you will design & implement networking security platform software for network protocols, MACsec and high availability, lead software development projects and collaborate across functional teams. You will be working closely with a team of highly skilled and brilliant engineers. 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Solid understanding and hands-on working experience of TCP/IP, Ethernet switching protocols, IP routing protocols and MACsec.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on working experience of high availability of networking devices and networking security products.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux programming, computer operating system, data structure and algorithm design.
  • Proficiency in Linux or FreeBSD kernel & application programing and debugging.
  • Proficiency in Intel x86 CPU and multi-core/multi-thread CPUs programming and distributed system programming.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
  • Hands-on working experience of programming Ethernet switch ASIC chips.
  • Good verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated great team player capable of working in a fast-paced R&D environment and driving projects.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field with 7 years of related experience; or PhD’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field with 4 years of related experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid hands-on experiences on router, switch or security product development.
  • Working experience on KVM, Xen and DPDK.
  • Self-guided and able to face challenging pressure.
  • Experience on device drivers of hardware components and ASIC.
  • Experience on hardware and system bring-up.
  • Deep knowledge and working experience in computer & networking virtualization, hypervisor, VM and container.
  • Working experience with cloud applications, AI and ML projects.
  • Programming skills with Python or other scripts.
