Job Purpose:

The Sr. Data Integration Software Engineer is the subject matter expert on data integration from external partners into transactional systems and through to the data warehousing and analytical platforms.  They work as a team member within the focused software engineering organization. They are responsible for implementing the creation and support of application components and outcomes.  The right candidate must be a detail-oriented independent contributor working who can coordinate components. The individual must be able to communicate in written form and manage workload dependencies. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Part of analysis sessions to understand functional and non-functional requirements
  • Create/develop code and jobs in Talend while following enterprise best practices
  • Strong experience in Talend administration and can install and upgrade versions of Talend.
  • Experience with Talend cloud is a plus.
  • Document application designs, data structures
  • Provide technical insight and develop work estimates to project planners.
  • Deploy and maintain application services in a production environment
  • Continuously optimize enhance monitor support and maintain all Talend data integration processes
  • Should be responsible for building extraction and mapping rules for loading data from multiple sources for data warehouse implementation based on MS Azure.
  • Must have strong knowledge on Data Warehousing (DWH) concepts, ETL concepts and data analysis capabilities and experience in Talend MDM tool
  • Experience in Talend Data Stewardship Console and Data Prep
  • Strong experience in Data Quality, Source Systems Analysis, Business Rules Validation, Source Target Mapping Design, Performance Tuning and High Volume Data Loads
  • Work with business users to translate requirements into system flows, data flows, data mappings etc., and develop solutions to complex business problems
  • Mentor Data Integration Developers
  • Maintain workload and time tracking within Jira
  • Development experience working in Agile Scrum environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related concentration
  • Experience with healthcare data formats and HIPAA concerns
  • 6+ years’ experience or equivalent with Data Integration / ETL platforms and solutions
  • Must have experience with Talend and good to have Java knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
  • Experience with Jira for Software Development
  • Experience with version control software
  • Experience with MS Azure

  • Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.
