Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking Full-Stack Software Developer (Associate or Experience) to work in either El Segundo, CA or Seal Beach, CA.

We’re seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative software developer to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities for the Lupin-F program.

This position may require up to 10% travel.

Our teams are currently hiring for a range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced Level Full Stack Software Developers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing high level customer requirements and deriving lower level functional requirements

  • Software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and testing of customer desired features/user stories

  • Briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to users

  • Developing and sustaining new and existing applications; as well as troubleshooting and resolving various software issues

  • Contributing to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture. The existing multi-tiered system is developed on a cloud infrastructure with several consumer-facing web applications

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

MUST BE WILLING TO SIT FOR A CI POLYGRAPH AFTER START DATE.

To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.  Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience in foundational CS knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns

  • Experience with distributed version control systems such as GitHub, IBM Rational Team Concert, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2+ years of experience in Java

  • Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS)

  • Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred.

  • Security Certification such as Security+ or CISSP

Front-end (UI) SW developer

  • Experience with web frameworks

  • Experience with web front-end architecture and design patterns

  • JavaScript

  • React

  • Bootstrap

  • CSS

  • HTML

Back-end SW developer

  • Python (code base)

  • C++

  • Java

  • SQL

  • ORM patterns

  • Micro-services

  • Experience with scalable, web systems and associated design patterns

Typical Education/Experience

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range:

Associate (Level 2) $90,950 - $123,050

Experienced (Level 3) $112,200 - $151,800
