Revenue Data Integrity Analyst I, Performance Improvement

40 hours per week, day shift

JOB SUMMARY: The primary role responsibility will be to serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of revenue cycle reporting to include: Developing complex flat file reports utilizing Microsoft Suite of products. Developing data visualizations utilizing tools such as Tableau. 

EDUCATION: Associates degree preferred. Significant experience will be considered in lieu of the degree. 

EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Minimum One (1) year healthcare report writing experience as demonstrated by technical competency in at least two (2) of the following: Epic Clarity SQL/Oracle MS Access MS Excel Crystal Reports Tableau Predictive Analytics (SaaS, SPSS, R, ETC) EPIC Caboodle Alteryx Preferred: Minimum One (1) year healthcare revenue cycle experience as demonstrated through work history developing reports for a minimum of two (2) of the following: Customer Service Cash Posting Registration Credit & Collections Billing Denials Payer Relations Financial Clearance Precertification Audit Defense Charge Capture Coding 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Maintain licensure or certification as applicable to the experience section of this job description. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

1. Collaborate with externally facing customers (i.e. Departments, Service Lines) to serve as a revenue cycle reporting subject matter expert. 

2. Collaborate with internally facing customers (i.e. Patient Financial Services) to serve as a revenue cycle reporting subject matter expert. 

3. Prepares and analyzes financial reports and statements to represent current and projected financial status. 

4. Provides maintenance of monthly operating reports and dashboards with performance metrics and KPIs. 

5. Assists with the summarization, recording and reporting of financial transactions related to financial reporting, general accounting, accounts receivable, financial reporting (internal), property control, project accounting, and cost analysis. 

6. Facilitate and handle complex issues related to revenue cycle reporting. 

7. Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein. 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Advanced computer analytical skills required to create and maintain reports and provide analysis. 
  • Ability to effectively establish/manage priorities and organize work structure in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills to manage relationships and collaborate with all levels of management to include department directors and colleagues with varying professional backgrounds in the resolution of revenue cycle opportunities 
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills 
  • Experienced with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint (Microsoft Suite) 
  • Must be patient centered in focus
