Find out more.We are looking for an AI Software Engineer to join our Strategy Products Organization & Startup in London, UK. You will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge software solutions for our Life Science & Healthcare team, working closely with the SVP of AI Product Transformation.
This job requires enthusiasm for innovative research in the biological sciences and expert level competency working with complex software systems.
The successful candidate should expect to conduct self-directed, rapid and on the job learning to become fluent in the biotech industry within the first nine months of employment.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent applicable experience).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in AI/ML software development.
Experience working with current commercial LLMs like GPT-4
Proficiency in SQL, spreadsheets and Lucene
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data preprocessing, and model evaluation.
It would be great if you also have:
Past experience in creating high-performance implementations of deep learning algorithms
Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
What will you be doing in this role?
Develop and implement machine learning models to solve complex business problems and enhance product features in the Strategy Products Organization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to integrate AI solutions into products.
Analyze and preprocess large datasets to ensure data quality and relevance
Conduct experiments and perform model evaluations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of machine learning solutions.
Monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring they perform optimally and adapt to changing data patterns.
Document processes and methodologies to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI technologies, and apply new techniques to improve existing solutions.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain high coding standards.
Assist in the development of AI-driven products from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Contribute to the creation of technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders.
