This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Family Definition:

Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet- related computer programs, primarily for end users. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and assist lower-level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and implements robotic process automation (RPA) scripts using Java (Workfusion) or necessary coding language (C# or VB for UIPath). The code must be well-designed, testable, and efficient.
  • Involved in all phases of the Automation end-to-end project lifecycle including analysis, documentation of business requirements, design, testing, deployment & hyper-care phases of automation solutions.
  • Tests and debugs RPA workflows to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • For simple bots or enhancements, can work with stakeholders to analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities and gather requirements.
  • Optimizes and enhances existing RPA bots through Break-fixes, CRs, ERs.
  • Provides training and support to end-users
  • Creates RPA documentation.
  • Translates business requirements into automation solutions by analyzing the business process and building functional requirements
  • Can do solution design. Codes independently. Participates in and may lead code reviews. Prepares code stubs for others.
  • Completes code to implement solutions. Performs SIT.
  • Develops, tests, deploys, and supports automation scripts. This includes Robotic Process Automation solutions (BOTs), Machine Learning Solutions, or other AI-enabled workflows.
  • Guides SMEs in the development of UAT test cases and scenarios, oversees UAT efforts and implements UAT bug fixes.
  • Stay updated on RPA technologies, languages, and best practices. Stays current on product technology and understands the functionality of Workfusion, Power Automate, and other RPA platforms, to act as an SME. Ensure the best fit of the RPA technology to the business use case.
  • Creates and maintains necessary documentation for the automation solution (e.g., process design, runbook, playbooks, documentation, Business Continuity Plans, etc.)
  • Establishes effective collaborative communications and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years experience in developing and deploying business process RPA solutions (Workfusion preferred); or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Typically 4-6 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 4 + years of experience writing code in Java (critical). Python skills and other languages for RPA platforms are desirable.
  • Experience with multiple full-release cycles of RPA deployments.
  • Advanced knowledge of RPA tools (e,g, Workfusion ODF, Automation Anywhere, UiPath).
  • Understanding of Software Test methodologies and testing tools.
  • Understanding of modern software development tools and SCM (software configuration management).
  • Strong Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience, particularly with Jenkins
  • General Project Management skills (developing).
  • Strong teamwork and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team and across different timezones.
  • Consulting experience/customer engagement skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Constantly looking to self-improve on a day-to-day basis through experiences, training, and certification
  • Ability to work with a moderate degree of ambiguity
  • Ability to write code aligned to published coding standards
  • Strong communication and influencing skills; mastery of English
  • Strong internal and external relationship management skills
