Ivy Tech Community College offers Associate's Degrees and Certificates to students in more than 70 programs in over 75 communities across Indiana.Under the direction of the Provost Office Systems Architects, this position is responsible for leading and overseeing data cleanup efforts in preparation for the transition to a new Student Information System, as well as maintaining the data performance of the Ivy Tech admissions, advising, and records modules during implementation. This position will manage the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across the organization during the implementation of Workday Student.
This role reports to the Provost Office System Administration team, which is responsible for managing a broad portfolio of student applications, integrations, and reports.
The Provost Office Senior Business Analyst must have experience of one or more implementation(s) and configuration(s) of software while maintaining a rigorous commitment to quality, security, and attention to detail.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and standards to ensure proper data management across the organization, focused on the data preparation for a new Student Information System.
Work with data stewards and stakeholders to ensure data is governed according to business requirements and industry best practices.
Support the establishment and execution of a data governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, and accountability for data-related activities.
Perform data clean-up by identifying, rectifying, and standardizing inaccurate, incomplete, or duplicate data.
Identify the underlying causes of data quality issues and work with business and technical teams to resolve them, and create proactive supports to prevent and reduce future issues.
Create and maintain rules for data validation to ensure clean and high-quality data.
Maintain, review, and prioritize backlog with stakeholders while providing recommendations for project management.
Review Business Analysts’ and peer activities; articulate ideas and viewpoints to senior management including review of policy documentation.
Lead sessions with key business leaders and stakeholders to deeply understand what business problems we are trying to solve, key questions to be answered, and how the solution developed will fit into the business process to be supported.
Lead interactive design sessions using best practices to effectively solve business problems by providing sample approaches as discussion points.
Provide process and/or alternative solutions and makes recommendations based on cost/benefit and operational impact criteria.
Manage project schedules and identify/communicate risks by providing timely reporting on the overall project success, processes on targets achieved and areas of focus and improvement.
Work with Quality Assurance to ensure adequate testing.
Own and drive escalated issues blocking production success.
Effectively use sound business judgment, risk avoidance and subject matter expert (SME) resources to provide recommendations to solve problems.
Provide functional oversight of technical integrations.
Acquire in-depth knowledge of Ivy Tech’s business to identify opportunities for improving internal processes, driving efficiencies and providing in depth analysis to end users.
Act as a point of contact for the internal business user(s).
Configure and support the bi-annual Workday upgrade processes, including evaluating and testing new functionality.
Participate in interactive design sessions using best practices to effectively solve business problems by providing sample approaches as discussion points.
Conduct root cause analysis to determine an appropriate action plan for break/fix and support issues.
Build and support Workday reports using various Workday reporting tools (Report Writer, Discovery Boards, Worksheets).
Develop partnerships with other Ivy Tech Workday module analysts, users, and/or administrators.
Assist by using sound business judgment, risk avoidance and SME resources to coordinate with campus business offices to solve problems.
Act as a named support contact with Workday.
Research, collaborate and contribute to the Workday community user groups.
Some travel may be required within the state.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college/university.
Minimum 5 years of business analysis, technical business analysis &/or project management.
Strong foundation in analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrate the ability to analyze and document processes, procedures, etc.
Have a strong foundation in customer service mentality with excellent communication skills.
Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
Excellent documentation skills (samples of nonproprietary documentation may be asked for review).

Strong consideration will be given to candidates with a background and/or experience in computer science and/or Higher Education.
