Principal Engineer

Job Title

Key responsibilities:

• Leverage your 12+ years of experience to design and implement robust and scalable solutions on the Azure platform.
• Design, develop, operate, and maintain scalable and resilient data analytical services provided by Azure to address business requirements.
• Balance strong architectural skills with effective soft skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide the team, fostering an environment of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Tackle production issues by addressing root causes and providing effective workarounds and device permanent solutions to problems.
• Engage with customers, understand their needs, managing their expectations and design effective solutions as per requirement and take it through implementation.
• Communicate ideas clearly and effectively, managing diverse viewpoints to drive constructive discussions.
• Influence the team and stakeholders independently, simplifying complex problems for better understanding and resolution.

Must have Skills:

• Azure DevOps and Azure DevOps YAML Pipelines expertise.
• Knowledge of popular managed services in Azure, including Storage Accounts, Function Apps, Event Hubs, Azure Databricks, Azure ML Studio, Virtual Network, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytic workspace.
• Expertise in Azure Networking knowledge and proven experience in designing complex networking requirements.
• Proven record of architecture and designing of scalable enterprise grade cloud solutions.
• Expertise in writing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform.
• Ability to write and debug full-fledged programs in Python / Java for automation and infrastructure requirements.
• At least 5+ years of working with Big Data Tech stacks: such as Spark, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks.
• Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high availability and performance.
• Cloud Security: Good understanding of cloud security practices and conduct security reviews.
• Should be able to deal with processes and drive approval discussions with relevant stakeholders.
• Good to have experience in SAFe or Scaled Agile.
