Job Description:

The Sr Analyst works closely with teams across the Global Client Account Services business unit to collect data, build key performance metrics, develop intuitive data visualizations, and deliver insights to business leaders and end users. As an integral part of the team, you will help leaders within Global Client Account Services shape their decision-making and strategy by utilizing data analytics. This role is best suited for those with wide-ranging interests in data analytics and data management. At the Senior level we are looking for an individual who is capable of handling complex data, applying advanced analytic techniques, and delivering results that requires minimal ongoing maintenance.

Role Summary:

Independently conducts advanced data management and reporting assignments. Leverages comprehensive knowledge of life cycle data analysis. Advocates data standards within cross-functional teams to ensure data are regarded as accurate, timely, reliable, and trusted by business stakeholders. Serves as the primary point of contact for management of complex data sets and related data requests. Also serves as point of contact and participates in data governance discussions that span across the business unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a consultant to the business on complex data and reporting requests. Ensures that data reporting and analyses provided to internal clients and stakeholders are done in a timely manner and are of the highest level of quality. Provides analysis and recommendations for current and future needs, which minimize redundancy and maximize compatibility of data within and across the business unit. Escalates data protection/privacy issues as necessary. Provides guidance on data issues identified by more junior professionals.

  • Implements processes and controls for the creation, consumption, assimilation, and/or destruction of data. Contributes to cross-functional projects. Ensures project goals are in line with data management goals in terms of data and reporting needs. Partners with internal stakeholders to translate complex definitions and content to ensure model and reporting adoption.

  • Administers the testing of new systems and contributes to system development. Leads investigations, analyses, and evaluations to determine enhancement feasibility and implications for data accuracy. Makes recommendations to more senior professionals based on findings.

  • Performs data curation and governance activities, including developing and supporting technical workflows, developing operational data management reports and metrics, enhancing existing models, and building and supporting frameworks and processes. Trains junior professionals and support staff to understand the data and data management operational processes.

  • Proactively monitors and manages complex data sets. Implements and executes data quality and maintenance programs in alignment with T. Rowe Price policies and procedures. Evangelizes best practices for the business.

Typical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using data visualization tools, such as Power BI

  • Familiarity with all phases of the data analytics lifecycle

  • Possesses statistical analysis skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effectively communicates technical outputs to non-technical audiences

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment as well as independently and with minimal direction

  • Demonstrated experience in converting data to insights and storytelling to drive strategic and tactical decision making

  • Ability to effectively interact with business partners to understand the business question(s) they seek to answer using data

  • Ability to communicate and visualize analytical results and insights for partners at all levels within the organization, including senior management

  • Ability to train business users on new reporting solutions

  • Experience using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate

  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
