About The Role:

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an Engineering Analyst within the Technical Planning & Operations organization. This role will have the responsibility to support the definition and execution of data analytics in support of the Operations team. The role will work with global, cross disciplinary teams and apply methods to identify and collate data, create visualization and reporting tools to aid in the management of Engineering data, metrics, and portfolio management. Data reports and visuals are critical tools for informed decision making.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Collect data from multiple sources, perform data quality checks and filtering techniques, organize data to the required formats to enable data analysis for different business use cases.

• Maintain existing reports as well as develop analytical tools using Excel, Power BI, or other tools as appropriate.
• Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for key decision making at all levels, from project portfolio analysis to CTO KPI visualization.
• Develop tools of visualization and dashboards to illustrate the data analysis results.
• Support Engineering Ops organization in efforts to organize, manage, share engineering master data
• Support business leaders, portfolio managers, and NPD teams with visual tools analysis to drive key decision making relative to managing the engineering portfolio.
• Support the initial implementation and ongoing expansion and maturation of Carrier’s Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system. This consists of participating in the definition of system and interface requirements to support data analytics, developing mechanisms to identify and visualize data integrity issues, and driving towards a seamless and automated engineering reporting ecosystem from project leader data entry to engineering function executive reporting and visualization.
• Support training and communications to relevant engineering resources to facilitate reporting and systems deployment and ongoing reporting and systems enhancements.   

Required Qualifications:

• BS degree in Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics with 3+ years of experience in reporting, analysis, and/or leading product development or managing a project portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in new product development, gated processes, and/or product commercialization
• Knowledge of PPM tool and the Carrier Passport process
• Training and communications development and delivery experience
• Strong technical writing abilities to provide high-quality documentation and standard work.
• Data manipulation, including graphing/visualization, reporting, and basic analysis
• Expertise with excel and PowerBI
• Good communication skills and team working experience
• Strong problem-solving capability, intellectual curiosity, and analytical thinking
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to lead through influence and drive results under tight timelines
• This candidate must be highly motivated, organized, self-driven, and able to function in a global team environment and demonstrate problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
