Please note this is a 9 month maximum term contract to cover parental leave with an anticitated end date of July 2025. 

 

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that accurate investment data is flowing into the various systems that our team use to manage investments in a variety of different asset classes. 

 

In this role you will source and manage data feeds from the custodian and market data vendors and take appropriate action to analyse and research investment data then reconcile various data sources and systems. You will develop insights and recommendations by undertaking data sourcing, data preparation, analysis design and visualization to support product development, go-to-market plan and customer experience strategies.

 

By providing insight into report creation and uplift you will proactively identify and engage with the investment operations, risk and investment management user groups to support a wide range of queries and reporting requests. You will also work with compliance and risk teams to meet data requirements for regulatory reporting. More broadly, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in project work and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to deliver support to the business and meet reporting requests.

 

About you

 

You’ll have a keen interest in data analysis and experience in a similar role within funds management such as investment data management or investment reporting, have a strong knowledge of data quality initiatives and various investment instruments, asset classes and platforms. 

 

You will have knowledge of investment instruments and understand the flow of investment data from a data warehouse into portfolio management systems. Highly desirable knowledge includes investment data management platforms such as Simcorp Dimension, Eagle, Markit, Bloomberg, GoldenSource.  Essential technical skills include Microsoft excel (VLookup, Pivot Tables) and SQL. Knowledge of R, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, Data Bricks and Azure will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you’ll be eager to use your expertise to help make a positive difference to every HESTA member’s financial future.
