The Opportunity

Adobe is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who will apply AI and ML techniques to big-data problems to help Adobe better understand, lead and enhance the experience of its customers. Working with the business units, the new hire will be building various products that address difficult business problems through our customers’ full lifecycle, from customer analytics to marketing media optimization.

By using statistical and econometric methods, predictive models, experimental design methods, and optimization techniques, the candidate will be working on the research and development of new projects like attribution, media mix modeling, budget optimization, personalization, causal analysis, time series analysis.

The ideal candidates for this role will possess a strong academic background and technical skills in applied statistics, machine learning, analytics, and software development. Familiarity with working with large-scale datasets and large scale data techniques would be a plus.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop predictive models on large-scale datasets to address various business problems using statistical modeling, ML, and analytics techniques.

  • Implement scalable and efficient modeling algorithms that can process large-scale data in production systems.

  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to develop new products and features.

  • Work on the search algorithm, behavioral data processing, and ML rankers at scale.

  • Process multimodal (Text, Image, Video) content and enrich it with innovative technologies like Large Language Models, Embeddings, and Transformers.

  • Apply data-mining and ML techniques to elevate the ranking and recommendations within the search workflow.

  • Build a real-time platform for ranking billions of images, documents, and assets. Maintain and optimize the search engine, develop new features, and assess solutions for search relevance, recommendations, user experience, performance, and feasibility.

What You Need to Succeed

  • PhD or MS degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Operations Research, Econometrics, or equivalent experience.

  • 0-2+ years of experience in the field.

  • Vast knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, or analytics concepts with shown problem-solving abilities using these techniques.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, and C.

  • Familiarity with machine learning or statistical modeling tools such as R, Matlab, and scikit learn.

  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, relationship skills and a standout colleague

  • Previous experience in ML, NLP, Search, recommendation systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $97,700 -- $195,700 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
