Your Impact:

OpenText is seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional for a solutions consultant role to cover the Middle East and Africa region in Analytics Data Platform area. The role will be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

As an OpenText Data Platform solutions consultant engineer, you will influence and make a difference in the roadmaps of our customers in data warehouse, data lake, and analytics areas. You will identify their specific needs and propose innovative solutions to support a secure transformation strategy. To succeed, you must have a deep understanding of security principles, architectures, competitive products, and security designs.

What the role offers:

Go-To-Market Support

• Product presentations and technical sessions for prospects, customers, and partners in the Analytics Data Platform
• Expertise in AI and ML technologies, machine learning models, data analytics
• Live demos of OpenText Analytics Data Platform solution, Vertica
• Orchestrating successful Proof of Concepts
• Addressing responses to RF(X) responses
• Design comprehensive analytics data platform architectures based on customer requirements.
• Build and maintain healthy, positive relationships with key customers and partners, meeting them regularly and keeping them updated with the latest product releases and new features.
• Representing OpenText at trade shows and events, also as a public speaker
• Be a key sparring partner for sales and management.
• Familiarity with machine learning models, algorithms, and large language models.
• Understand competitors in AAI solutions and current technical innovations.

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum of 10 years of field experience as a data warehouse expert. Data platform hands-on skills are crucial.
• Experience with SQL, database management, data warehousing, Big Data architectures, and data pipelines using Kafka and Spark.

• Proficient in programming (Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Shell scripting, Jupyter, C++, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of business information analytics applications, client/server architecture, REST API, and web services.
• Ability to train, and test advanced ML models on massive data sets
• Robust knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals, market analysis, and product verticals (architectural design, technology, implementation)
• Excellent solution presentation skills, Desire to implement and customize OpenText Application
• Testing and Data discovery and protection solutions in Proof of Concept (POC) activities.
• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems, databases, networking fundamentals, and container-based deployment technologies
• Ability to communicate the solution's value in terms of financial return and impact on customer business goals.
• Good knowledge of and relationship to the local market (system integrators, resellers, and distributors are desirable)

Considered as a Plus

• Existing hands-on skills with OpenText Vertica solution.

• Datawarehouse certifications from relevant vendors are welcome

• Self-responsible, creative and proactive in managing time-bond tasks and concurrent requests coming from the larger sales team.
• Confident in diving into different scenarios, from C-level meetings to bits & bytes bake-off against competitors
• Fluent spoken and written language skills in English & Arabic.
