What We Need 

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Data Analyst within our PayByPhone line of business based in Vancouver, Canada. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze data needs and results and be a driving force for data-driven decision throughout the various Product areas.

Role Responsibilities 

The responsibilities of the role will include:
 

  • Working closely with the Product teams to understand and identify data needs
  • Collecting the required data to satisfy internal customers’ requirements
  • Interpreting data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports based on collected requirements
  • Using statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business insights
  • Acquiring data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting statistically significant trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Presenting and publishing data analysis findings to internal audiences on a regular basis
  • Working with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Identifying, defining, and implementing process improvement opportunities
  • Providing insights into the correctness and accuracy of PayByPhone and client parking location data 
  • Collaborating with strategic partners to identify and present geo-spatial parking insights
  • You will excel in this role if: 
    • You can help design, guide, and communicate best practices
    • You can rapidly prototype solutions with app teams
    • You can iteratively solve large and complex problems by breaking them apart and working up from simpler base cases
    • You can clearly communicate findings with technical and non-technical audiences
    • You can work with regional teams - speaking French or German is an asset

 Education & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering, data science, analytics, or business intelligence field
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Biostatistics, or a similar quantitative field is preferred

 Qualifications & Skills 

  • Experience working with and cleaning complex and irregular data sets using cloud-native technologies
  • Experience in analyzing, visualizing, and presenting data in clear, understandable, and interpretable forms to audiences of varying levels of technical expertise
  • Experience with creating and maintaining dashboards and reports with a visualization platform or tool like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI
  • Experience using Python or other language to organize and modify large data sets
  • An understanding of GIS
  • Success in this role looks like: 
    • Building a productive and effective working relationship with the product teams, development organization, and other relevant business areas to be seen as a data expert and trusted source
    • Enabling timely business-critical decision-making for product, commercial, and technical teams

Compensation 

The salary range for this role is 83,200.00 to 104,000.00  CAD per year. We consider several factors when determining a proposed hourly rate, including but not limited to: experience, education, location, budget, and internal equity. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes fairness and consistency, and job offers will be evaluated case-by-case.
