Purpose of the role

To verify the accuracy, reliability, and soundness of the bank's analytical models by independently validating and assuring the quality of models. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of validation plans for new and existing models.
  • Preparation of model documentation that clearly explains the model's methodology, assumptions, limitations, and risks.
  • Development and implementation of ongoing monitoring frameworks to ensure continued model accuracy and effectiveness, ensuring appropriate controls and governance in place.
  • Analysis and assessment of the model's accuracy, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performing back testing and stress testing to assess model robustness under different conditions.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.

As a TM data manager you will be responsible for the delivery of data outcomes required for the Transaction Monitoring deliveries on project Jeremiah and transformation of end-to-end AML processes.

Required responsibilities

  • Undertake business analysis to assess needs, capture requirements and define solutions that will maximise the value delivered to stakeholders across portfolio of strategic data initiatives as allocated

  • Responsible for adherence to group mandated Data Quality Standard, capturing and managing data issues within defined framework

  • Definition of requirements and specifications for proposed data remediation efforts in order to meet regulatory commitments, risk controls and business objectives

  • Delivery of impact assessments and business cases to senior stakeholders to obtain buy in for CDO proposed recommendations
