Job Description

Experian Consumer Services is looking for a Data Analyst focused on supporting the implementation of its Data Governance initiatives. The primary responsibility would be to help classify, organize, and document existing and new data assets. The Analyst will review product requirements, understand the data flow and architecture, and provide business definitions and applicable data governance policies. You will also evolve into documenting and defining best practices and leading adoption processes.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Data Architecture.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Help develop and manage data glossaries and data owner matrices to establish enterprise data standards for using critical data.
  • Provide, review, and update data definition and classifications, as well as applicable data governance policies of data assets.
  • Identify and document data retention, data privacy, data security, and data access requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data governance standards.
  • Document business requirements for data governance policies, procedures, and activities.
  • Help to design KPIs that gauge data governance success.
  • Help identify and deploy data practices such as data scoping, metadata standardization, lineage, data deduplication, mapping and transformation, and business validations.
  • Grow and enforce modern data documentation standards.

Qualifications

Your background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or similar discipline.
  • 2+ years' experience as a Data or Business Analyst and experience implementing Data Governance projects.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • SQL experience is a plus.
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence is a plus.
