Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Actuarial Analyst to join our team.

The role involves pricing actuarial tasks including filings and indications in addition to rate testing and supporting off-balance tool maintenance.

Our Client is one of the United States’ largest insurers, providing a wide range of insurance and financial services products with gross written premiums well over US$25 Billion (P&C). They proudly serve more than 10 million U.S. households with more than 19 million individual policies across all 50 states through the efforts of over 48,000 exclusive and independent agents and nearly 18,500 employees. Finally, our Client is part of one the largest Insurance Groups in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate rate indications and provide pricing support using various actuarial methodologies
  • Conduct rate testing to ensure revisions and product launches are implemented accurately and timely
  • Maintaining and modernizing analysis tools in Excel, R and Python.
  • Prepare rate support exhibits for rate filings and defend proposals against potential Department of Insurance objections
  • Conducting ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with Product and IT teams.

 

Locations: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

Requirements

Work Experience in This Field

  • Minimum Required: 3-6 years

English Proficiency

  • Minimum Required: Fluent

Required Education

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree

Required Branches of Study

  • A degree in related fields such as actuarial science, mathematics, insurance, data science, economics, business, engineering, or computer science.

Additional Preferred Branches of Study

  • Majors in mathematics, data science, or actuarial science are preferred.

Other Critical Skills

  • Financial Reporting: Entry Level
  • Data Management: Intermediate
  • Understanding of US insurance company operations.
  • A business-oriented focus (motivated, self-directed, organized, and analytical)
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.

Software / Tool Skills

  • Excel: Intermediate
  • Office Suite: Intermediate
  • Python: Intermediate
