We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in advancing our Logistics Analytics solutions. By leveraging the power of data, you will be contributing to the creation of innovative, data-driven solutions that supports our Logistics Analytics solutions. The position can be based in either Gdansk, Poland, or Viby, Denmark.

 

 In our Logistics agile release train we build the data integrations and platforms between our main systems inside our team, from other teams or with external data providers. We are on a bigger and exciting journey within our area, and you will find more like minded people in our organization.

 

 About the job

 

As a Data Engineer, you will work with complex tasks and a large variety of tasks.  You appreciate and understand diverse business needs, whilst demonstrating strong solution insight and technical skills. You are able to execute technical/functional implementations, presents ideas and interact with the business and IT stakeholders across all organizational levels in a professional manner. You will be working closely together with Solutions Architects, Developers and business Subject Matter Experts.

 

Typical tasks include:

 

•             Build Web API or Web Services to extract, receive, expose or send data using the standard python web framework inside the department

•             Build Data Pipelines in Databricks using DBT

•             Create Web Applications using Python

•             Dimensional Modelling inside the Data Warehouse

•             Work on expanding Infrastructure as a Code setup for the existent platform or custom applications

 

Who are you?

 

We imagine that you:

 

•             Have 3+ years of experience in one or multiple of the following roles, or similar positions: Back-end Software Developer, Data Warehouse Developer, BI Developer, SQL Developer or Data Engineer

•             Have software engineering background or experience in development working environment and tools (DevOps, SAP, IaC , CI/CD etc.)

•             Domaine knowledge on Logistics data SAP EWM/TM.

•             Are proficient in one or multiple SQL/NoSQL languages (MSSQL, Spark SQL, PostgresSQL, Cosmos DB, etc.)

•             Have a strong knowledge of Python programming language with focus on the following areas: Web Frameworks/API, ORM, Data Manipulation and Analysis, Tasks Automation and software development

•             Preferably, have some knowledge of back-end Data Engineering methods and frameworks (Data Warehousing, Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Big Data etc.)

•             Deep understanding of databases and big data related technologies, such as SQL, Data lakes, ETL pipelines, Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks

You are a team player and take pride in continuous learning and improvements. In addition, you possess a structured approach, analytical mindset and have an eye for the details. Great curiosity and a passion for working with data and building IT solutions. You also have the ability to decompose problems and take great responsibility for your work. Lastly, it is important that you possess good English skills in both writing and speaking.
