 What You’ll Do 
Position SummarySuvida Healthcare’s Data Strategy and Analytics team is seeking a talented Analytics Engineer to work in our Data and Analytics team to help us continue building a robust modern data platform. This platform will service broad internal teams including Population Health, Clinical, Finance, and Strategy teams. The Analytics Engineer will be responsible for playing a key role in leading delivery of data and analytics projects, data engineering processes, and implementation of data solutions driving insights for the business. This role will serve as an important part of the Data and Analytics team to improve data processes designs that assist the primary care team to deliver high quality preventive care to patients.  
Essential responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:   
  • Understand our data needs, design and implement data extraction processes, model data, and write data transformations.
  • Ensure that data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and secure.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify use cases for data reporting and dashboarding and implement new pipelines and data models.
  • Help train users on data capabilities and best practices.
  • Help prepare and perform complex analyses of healthcare data, serving as an SME to cross-functional stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Familiarity with setting up CI/CD data pipelines with observability and fault tolerance.
  • Familiarity with DAG principles.
  • Proficient in SQL and have a strong working knowledge of software engineering workflow tools (version control, testing principles, etc.). Familiarity with Python, or similar data-centric language.
  • Proven ability to model data for reporting, analytics use cases.
  • Experience and strong interest in the analytics side of data, e.g., collecting requirements, defining and implementing metrics, developing dashboards.
  • Healthcare experience, specifically value-based care, a plus.

Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification Requirements
  •  Undergraduate or Graduate degree in STEM-related field, or equivalent on the job experience is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, or a similar role.
  • 1+ years of experience with modern cloud-based data tools for extraction, warehousing, transformation, and orchestration. Snowflake and DBT are preferred.
 Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for prolonged periods of time, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms. Hand eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and other office equipment; must be able to operate a motor vehicle. When representing Suvida Healthcare at external events, the Senior Data Analytics Engineer may also be required to stand for prolonged periods of time, kneel, crouch, bend and lift, and able to move up to 30 pounds.
