Senior Data Analyst

At Acxiom, our solutions enable people-based marketing with identity resolution and rich descriptive and predictive audience segmentation. We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with a versatile skill set to support the work for execution and measurement of email marketing campaigns.

The analyst is responsible for ad-hoc research, data analysis, campaign report creation, UI support, among other activities and has expertise in querying data in an Oracle Database and experience with data visualization tools.

The successful analyst is a forward-thinking team player who proactively expands their knowledge of all client lines of business, who can manage multiple projects, and who effectively communicates both internally and externally.

The Data Analyst will design and deliver custom client analysis that provides actionable insights across ad-hoc projects, customer and campaign performance reports/analysis that supports test design and measurement based on our client’s data.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Support analytics initiatives by providing insights from data sets.

• Ability to understand the results of analysis and identify/recommend opportunities to improve the client’s business and marketing efforts/performance.

• Discover hidden insights or patterns through advanced data mining techniques.

• Translates high-level requirements into specific data-driven recommendations.

• Compile documentation and execute reporting to support the end-to-end campaign lifecycle, including campaign optimization.

• Support the creation of all types of analysis and measurements, such as target audience development, optimization analysis, opportunity analysis, program measurements.

• Apply SQL to query databases, perform data transformations, and extract necessary information. 

• SQL expertise to access and work with a wide variety of data to derive the key findings for analysis.

• Create and deliver client-ready reports related to data insights.

• Utilize operational effectiveness to deliver quality and on-time work and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.  

SKILLS Required

• Bachelor's Degree required

• Minium of 3-5 years of experience

• Email campaign and acquisition data analysis experience. 

• Ad-Hoc Research & Data Analysis & UI Support

•  Proven experience using SQL to extract data from marketing databases(Oracle Database) with the intention to create reporting or generate analyses. 

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint etc.). 

• Experience with File Sharing Platforms, such as SharePoint. 

• Experience with Visualization Tools, such as Tableau. 

• Problem solving mentality with the ability to work independently and within a team. 

• Strong communications skills and analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Understanding of data modeling, business analytics/intelligence, data science.

Nice to Have

• Multi-channel marketing a plus.  

• Knowledge of Acxiom products and services a plus. 

• Telecom experience preferred.   

• Experience with File Sharing Platforms, such as SharePoint.
