What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking candidates to provide management consulting support to the Department of Energy (DOE). Multiple roles are available at the Senior Consultant level (see types below). Our Senior Consultants are second level non-management consultants that will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation and generation of project results.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support DOE programs and processes to meet agency mission objectives and organization-specific business goals.
  • Engage project stakeholders to identify and implement organizational, program, and business process improvements using change management practices.
  • Collaborate with DOE clients and Guidehouse colleagues to solve problems and improve outcomes.
  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client consideration.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with the DOE, another State or Federal Agency, or an organization of similar size / complexity.
  • 3+ years’ demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Project Management of large workstreams or programs (e.g., Developing reports and presentations, quality and compliance reviews, schedule and risk management);
    • Communications Support (e.g., Stakeholder Outreach and communications);
    • Change Management (e.g., evaluation of program operations, process improvement, and automation); or
    • Data analysis (e.g., Collection and analysis of financial and program data utilizing analysis tools to manipulate and present).
  • Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems.
  • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities.
  • Proficiency with Excel, databases, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to meet and pass requirements for a Public Trust.
  • Due to contract requirements US Citizenship restrictions apply.
  • Due to contract requirements must be able to work from Guidehouse Arlington, VA or client facilities in Washington D.C.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Familiarity with DOE organization and operations structure, and/or programs.
  • Previous experience working in or supporting a federal agency in a program management, business management, program analyst, or change management function.
  • Experience working with or knowledge of national or state/local energy programs.
  • Educational background in Energy (Engineering, Management, Policy, Renewable, Sustainable).
