About the team 
 

The Planning and Enterprise Data Governance Team (PLEDG) is responsible for Agile Intake Processes, Data Governance, and Compliance.  The team enables the data function to quickly adapt to Worldpay’s changing requirements, optimize their business decision making through accurate and reliable data, and play the critical role of ensuring we are compliant with relevant regulations such as SOX, privacy, and security regulations. 
 

The open roles are specific to support the data governance component which encompasses building out data quality, lineage, and definitions for the business.  It also encompasses larger initiatives such as Master Data Management for Customer and Product information across Worldpay.  And Customer Contract Digital Rights (CCDR) where we use large language models to determine the appropriate rights based on the contract to apply to their data usage within the Worldpay systems. 

What you’ll own  

• Perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples) 

• Design, develop and implement end-to-end solutions utilizing the Alation toolset along with Informatica toolsets. 

• Perform root cause analysis on data assets based on scorecard and metrics. 

• Work with stakeholders at various level to assist with data quality resolutions. 

• Collaborate with ETL teams and guide them on data governance standards and policies. 

• Responsible for data definitions, classifications, and naming standards. 

• Engineer solutions to harvest metadata, end-to-end lineage, and logic from on premise and cloud systems for data governance tools (such as Informatica & Alation) 

• Responsible for obtaining approvals from the data owners. 

• Develop data scorecards and dashboards within the Informatica Suite. 

• Build data models, data pipelines, apply transformation, and create tables to support metadata, security, quality, or compliance reporting needs. 

• Participation in and fulfill Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) auditing requests. 

• Identify opportunities to improve data quality at the source. 

• Adhere to Data Governance policies and processes. 

• Additional duties as assigned. 

Where you’ll own it

What you bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with expertise in data mining or equivalent. 

• Strong problem-solving ability 

• 5+ years of professional development experience with data governance tools, like Alation and Informatica (EDC, AXON and IDQ) 

• Expert skills in SQL for database design, querying and optimization 

• Strong experience with data governance and security best practices 

• Ability to design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines specifically related to data governance 

• Experience with API development and integration 

• 3+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud services
