As a MS SQL Developer with a focus on SQL, Azure Data Factory and Power BI, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into meaningful visualizations and actionable insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design and develop dashboards, and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.

Essential Duties:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and objectives.
• Work with users to understand business processes, gather/document project. requirements and translate them into reports and applications
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau and Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Implement best practices for data visualization and user experience.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across Tableau Power BI visualizations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Provide technical support to end-users and assist in troubleshooting reporting related issues
• Develop and maintain SQL based reports in SSRS.
• MS SQL (SSRS, SSIS, Analytical problem solving, data analysis) & development of complex T-SQL queries and corresponding database objects.
• Provide overall administration, configuration, security and maintenance of the environment as well as system utilization and monitoring performance of the following: security, troubleshooting problems, patches or upgrades, and maintenance of BI models and packages

These are the general duties required to fulfill the SQL Power BI Developer, not a detailed description of all the work required. New duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the changing demands of the business.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• 3+ years of overall experience with SQL

• 3+ years report development and analytics experience using Microsoft Power BI and Tableau

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

• Strong understanding of Data visualization
• Provide technical oversight in delivering BI best practices, data integration, security and data quality
• Provide administration and management of the BI platform from infrastructure implementation to daily BI administration of the environment
• Provide knowledge of BI capabilities and trends to identify opportunities to insert BI solutions
• Overall administration, configuration, security, and maintenance
• Provide strategies for alternate drill-down capabilities, partitioning and custom views
• Develop data models when appropriate using the appropriate modeling tools
• Progress Database knowledge is a plus

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.
• Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members as needed in an environment that can be noisy.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.
