Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal.  If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.

Based in Toronto, the Data Product Develop Co-op/Intern will be an integral member of our team, contributing to the strategic and tactical analysis of our data products. Working closely with teams spanning data product, engineering, analytics, science, intelligence, and BI, you will assist in facilitating the collection of design inputs and measuring the success of data products. Additionally, you will support in refining our Agile processes and reporting framework to ensure streamlined operations and enhanced visibility.

What You Will Experience:

  • Assist in facilitating user interviews and workshops to gather data product requirements and design inputs from users, encompassing complex business logic, Excel Power Query, or SQL.

  • Support in translating collected requirements into technical specifications for Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Scientists.

  • Aid in liaising efforts of various teams within the Data organization while coordinating collaboration with other business functions and teams to ensure continuous delivery.

  • Contribute to the analysis of user behavior to inform product strategy and business decisions, leveraging insights from data product success metrics.

  • Owning basic analytical assignments, under the supervision of senior team members.

  • Help refine Agile processes and reporting framework to ensure effective project management and enhanced visibility.

What You Will Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field).

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage technical team members of various roles and business stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with basic SQL in technical data analytics is preferred.

  • Familiarity with web/digital analytics metrics such as Daily Active Users, Retention, and Churn is an asset.

  • Basic understanding of data visualization and analytical tools, such as PowerBI and Apache Superset, is an asset.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team's success.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where adaptability and flexibility are essential.
