Finance Manager - Cloud & Artificial Intelligence Revenue Planning

We maintain close partnerships with Azure Engineering, Marketing, Business Development, and Sales to support and influence decisions through financial modeling and thought leadership. 

We are hiring a Finance Manager - Cloud & Artificial Intelligence Revenue Planning who will be focused on driving deal negotiations, influencing business models, investments, product roadmap and incubations in close collaboration with Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance. We are looking for people who thrive under ambiguous obstacles, work in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for technology, partner well with executives, and can roll-up their sleeves to drive data-based analysis. Ability to frame a complex problem, solid analytical skills, and intellectual curiosity are key to success within our team.

Our Finance team focuses on Azure Infrastructure Revenue, and this role will focus on partnering with Business Planning and Engineering to influence product roadmap, pricing, and go-to-market strategy for the Azure Networking business. In addition, The Finance Manager - Cloud & Artificial Intelligence Revenue Planning will be a key contributor to long range planning for the Azure business, specializing in business analytics, data modeling, market analysis, and leveraging data to expose business insights to  leaders.

Responsibilities

Prioritize & Partnership

• Drive thought leadership and build business case on Cloud Economics and Cloud Migration.
• Build and refine financial models to guide customer negotiations and drive incremental revenue and margin growth for Azure.
• Direct Azure long-range planning and market/compete analyses, together with stakeholders across marketing and engineering teams, as well as other finance teams. Act as the growth agitation agent for the business.
• Collaborate with relevant groups from marketing, business development, Research & Development, and partner sales teams to drive both organic & inorganic growth initiatives, investment prioritization and decision-making.
• Conducting financial and scenario analysis to ensure business and financial success of new programs and offers from a customer + revenue growth, profitability, and usage perspective.

Protect

• Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes. Drives corrective measures. Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies. Collaborates with Compliance groups to ensure team is current on company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field
  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field
  • OR equivalent experience.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple inputs across many stakeholders, prioritizing the effort on main drivers
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at a very fast pace.
• Proficient anlystical and strategic thinker
• Ability to identify opportunities for the business to and build and nurture relationships across finance and business partners to drive results and insights.
• Show propensity for learning, and demonostrate ability to identify, analysze, inerpret, and deliver sound solutions.
• Executive level oral and written communication skills - ability to cummunicte complex analysis and models in a simple way. 
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and the ability to synthesize insights from large datasets. 

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
