This role will support the Senior Manager ESG Data and Reporting

 -          Project management for Global ESG Data and Reporting:  Support the required data acquisition and management from Sysco’s global data sources and manage timely reporting and required disclosures to meet regulatory requirements.

 -          External stakeholder inquiries and benchmark review: Support the review and response to third party benchmark and investor surveys, work with internal stakeholders to provide appropriate responses and disclosures, secure necessary approvals prior to submitting responses

 -          Data and Analysis: Support customer surveys in a timely manner to provide customers with sustainability data needed to support their own programs; develop intake process and improvement opportunities including training & education to allow customers and Sysco sales colleagues to self-serve for standard sustainability inquiries. Monitor sustainability data in internal systems to ensure accuracy and availability prior to needing data for reporting / disclosures

 -          Ad hoc sustainability project support:  Support the broader sustainability team as needed on various sustainability initiatives; provide summarized status reporting on sustainability and ESG initiatives to leadership; support development of board documents.

  • 20% Sustainability project support

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or 4 years equivalent experience, preference for degree in sustainability
  • 2 or more years' experience in data analysis, communications, program management, with sustainability experience preferred
  • Solid PowerPoint, Excel, Word and project management software knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work productively on independent research, data collection and analysis assignments and as part of a team
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an outstanding ability to communicate with others at all levels of the organization
  • Energetic, efficient and resourceful team player
  • Language Requirements – English B2+
  • Knowledge of food service distribution and associated supply chains
  • Experience in corporate social responsibility or sustainability positions for a public company, a consulting agency or relevant experience is a plus
  • Preferred understanding of various sustainable certification programs, e.g. MSC, Certified Humane, etc. as well as relevant global sustainability existing issues and emerging issues
  • Passion for Climate & Sustainability and making a difference
  • Familiarity of sustainability regulatory and/or voluntary disclosures (CDP, Ecovadis, CSRD) will be given preference

Skills and Abilities:

  • Time management, project management, strong attention to detail required.
  •  Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  •  Strong communication skills.
  •  Knowledge of foodservice preferred
