Senior data analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze large and complex datasets from various banking functions (e.g., risk management, treasury, operations, retail banking) to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
• Modeling & Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop predictive models and forecasts, particularly in areas like credit risk, market risk, and customer behavior.
• Data Quality & Governance: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data through robust data governance practices, including data cleansing, validation, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders, among other departments, to understand business needs, define analytics requirements, and deliver insights that drive business performance.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Data Visualization: Develop clear, compelling, and actionable dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, or similar platforms, ensuring data is presented in a user-friendly manner.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services or banking industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and advanced Excel. Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, or similar.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across departments.
